AirOcare, Inc. Joins CIMIT's Industry Liaison Program

AirOcare, Inc. is an environmental technology company headquartered in Maryland. AirOcare offers a unique, patented air and surface sanitization technology with wide application across industries including many opportunities in healthcare settings.

AirOcare initially focused on applications in the food cold chain, establishing the benefits of the technology in reducing the risks of food borne illnesses, preventing spoilage and contamination in the storage, transportation and processing of food. AirOcare entered into a licensing agreement with Ingersoll Rand for this application.

AirOcare is now focusing on opportunities for use of the technology for air and surface sanitization and odor control in the hospitals, schools, office building and military applications. MRSA infections are now appearing routinely outside the hospital environment in schools, universities, day care centers, health clubs, and senior living facilities. It is estimated that one patient in ten acquires an infection because of an extended visit in a healthcare facility.
