CIMIT Hosting Poster Competition at Innovation Congress 2009

Eligibility

This year ANY registered attendee may enter the Poster Competition.

Areas of Scientific Research

Poster submissions should focus on early stage, interdisciplinary research projects for improving patient care with an emphasis on devices (including drug eluting), diagnostic technologies, interventions and peri-procedural systems.  Research in drug development or clinical trials is not the focus of this poster competition. Submissions should feature early stage research in the following areas:

  • Biodetection & Sepsis Control
  • Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Clinical Systems Innovations
  • Global Health Initiative
  • Image-Guided Therapy
  • Inhalation Technology
  • Minimally Invasive Surgery
  • Neurotechnology
  • New Initiatives
  • Optical Diagnostics
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Simulation
  • Trauma & Casualty Care
  • Traumatic Brain Injury & Neurotrauma
Evaluation Criteria

A peer-review panel will evaluate abstracts and final posters using the following criteria: Novelty, Quality, Potential Impact on Patient Care and Clarity of Exposition. 

Awards

Awards will be given for:

Most Innovative Research$1,500
Potential for Patient Benefit$1,000
Best Student Poster$ 500

Award Recipients will be announced during the Innovation Congress.

Please Note: The 2009 Poster Competition is now closed. If your poster is selected and you would like to compete in the poster competition, you must register for the conference online and pay the appropriate fees for students, academia / non-profits / government agencies, and/or industry.

The CIMIT Innovation Congress 2009 is October 27-28 at the Back Bay Events Center, Boston, MA.
